VILLAGE OF VOLO TRICK-OR-TREAT GUIDELINES
The Village of Volo will hold trick-or-treat on Sunday, October 31, 2021 between the hours of 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Not all families will feel comfortable participating in trick-or-treating this year. Participation is a personal choice for each family, and neighbors may choose differently from others based on their own comfort levels. All trick-or-treaters are encouraged to be respectful of their neighbors' decisions.
Distributing Candy:
- Leave a porch or garage light on to indicate you are participating.
- Wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and wash or sanitize your hands frequently.
- Do not participate in trick-or-treating if anyone in your household is unwell or may have been exposed to COVID-19.
- Please refrain from distributing coins, cash, homemade treats, or fresh fruit.
Trick-or-Treaters:
- Maintain small groups.
- Visit only those homes who have a light on indicating participation.
- Do not participate in trick-or-treating if anyone in your household is unwell or may have been exposed to COVID-19.
- Wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and wash or sanitize your hands frequently.
- Wait to approach a home until the previous group has moved on.
*The items listed above are guidelines and NOT mandates.
**Please be aware that should the State of Illinois release restrictions for trick-or-treating those restrictions would supersede the above guidelines.
