Maybe you’re a fan of dreamhouses. Maybe you’re a World War II history buff. Or maybe you’re BOTH. Well, here’s your chance to express yourself! Prove your pumpkin carving skills and have a chance to display your bragging rights via the Pumpkin King himself, a 13 foot animated Jack Skellington!
The Village of Volo is looking for residents’ submissions of pumpkins carved to the theme of “Barbenheimer”. Submissions must either relate to Barbie or Oppenheimer (or BOTH) in order to be accepted.
Submissions will require both photo AND physical display. Photo submissions including name, address, email, and phone number should be submitted no later than 11:59 PM Tuesday, October 24th. In addition, submitted pumpkins will also need to be physically displayed on front porches or in the front window of the entrant’s (Volo) address between 6PM and 9PM on Wednesday, October 25th to be judged for consideration. Any photo submissions received after 11:59 PM Tuesday, October 24th and/or pumpkins not physically displayed between 6PM and 9PM on Wednesday, October 25th will not be considered.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, October 26th with the installation of Jack Skellington soon to follow on the winner’s front lawn! Jack Skellington will be recollected by Public Works after October 31st.
